May is Almost Here!

Good morning!  I hope you all had a great Easter weekend and things are starting to settle down for  you.  Today I have a new release from Bugaboo that I think would be perfect for planners or anything May related.  I featured the May Word stamp as the beginning of my sentiment.  I am so happy that warmer weather is here and all the blooms are starting to pop, so I had to use cheerful colors backed by rainbow paper.   I hope you like it.  Please be sure to check out the other designer's work too, over at Catch The Bug Blog!
Products used.  white/orange/black card stock, Create 365 Happy Memory Keeping striped paper, Copic Markers, Sheer ribbon, Bertech foam tape, Word doc created sentiment, and May Word digital stamp.

Happy Easter!

Good Morning everyone!  I wanted to take a moment to wish you all a Happy Easter!  While we may all be chasing little ones around during egg hunts and taking pictures with the Easter Bunny, I just wanted to remind you that the Blood Of Christ washed our sins away and made us new.  I celebrate his resurrection today by going to a Sunrise Service and then my family goes to a place called The Garden Of Hope which is a replica of Jesus' tomb where my Husband leads our family in prayer and we each take a turn saying what we are thankful for and what Christ has done for each one of us.
My card today isn't a religious one, but know for me, the day is very meaningful and I am thankful for Jesus.  If you want to know more about Jesus, I recommend starting with the Book of John.

Products used:  peach, blue, white card stock, peach polda dot patterned paper, versafine onyx black ink, script happy easter stamp from my stash, Spectrum Noir alchohol markers, white gelly roll pen, sheer ribbon, and Easter Brat Sitter

Happy Nerd-day

Hi, Happy Wednesday.. We are half way through the week!  Great news right?  I have a card that I created for my daughter's birthday.  She's in college and the only thing she loves more than books is her boyfriend whom she calls, Nerd.  I thought this was the perfect card for her, and the image was perfect for her daddy to give to her as his favorite pic of his little girl was with pigtails.  I can't believe she's all grown up now.   Wow!!!  He's getting old... I'm still 29... forever.
This card was also created for Bugaboo's Humor Me Wednesday which is celebrating International Children's Book Day.  I used Ken Oliver's Color Burst powders to create the background accompanied with one distress oxide ink and spray.   I hope you find it as cute as i do!

Products used:  black/white/teal card stock, Ken Oliver Color Burst water color powder, Canson XL water color paper, Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, Distress Oxide Picked Rasperry, Distress Stain Spray Picked Raspberry, White Gelly Roll Pen, Word Doc for sentiment, Andy Skinner Alphabet Spaghetti stencil, Big Book Girl

Hi Ya!

It's April Fool's Day right?  The joke must be on me since I think we should still be in February!  Man this year is flying by.  I have a design team project for the April Challenge over at Craft-dee Bowz where anything goes with a bow!  I must have had my nephew on my mind when I chose this cute image from our sponsor, LeAnn's World 101, as he wants to be a Ninja when he grows up!  He's only 6, so he has time to change his mind!    I did something a little different and used ribbon for my entire background to represent the different belts in Martial Arts.  I have to admit it was hard to incorporate a bow in this as you don't see bows in Karate, but I made it work as a beautiful embellishment. I made my double loop bow using the two pegs closetst together on my Craft-dee Bowz Tool. which gives you the perfect bow every time!    I hope you like it.

Products used:  white/black card stock, red/yellow/orange/blue/green/brown/black 3/8 inch ribbon from Hobby Lobby, Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers, Scotch Tape, Word doc created sentiment, Bertech foam tape,  Art glitter glue, and  Karate Chris digi stamp
