Sweet Birthday Wishes

Hello there!  I have an Oldie but a Goodie for Bugaboo today!  This sweet guy loves his chocolate chip cookies almost as much as I do!  I love them so much that when I was 3 my Mom dressed me up as the cookie monster for Halloween.  I may have had a birthday party with that theme too, now that i think of it.  This image comes as part of a card kit, but I only used the sweet boy today.  Be sure to check out the kit HERE.  I matted my image on a Spellbinders die to give it added interested and added a little button for bells and whistles.  I hope you enjoy my card for the day!

Love You More Than All The Fishes

Hello I hope you are having a great day!  I have a fun card made from the March 2019 Hero Arts Kit of the Month.  I don't buy many "club kits" anymore as I have a big enough stash to last me forever, but I still subscribe to Hero Arts because I think you get a great value for the product you receive, and they never fail to amaze me with what is coming next.  Anyhow, my hubby loves aquariums, but I don't allow them in my house, so I thought I'd surprise him with this one.  He can keep this one!!!  I really love the Hero Art Reactive inks that came in the kit this time especially the Sea Salt which is white, it reminds me of distress oxides, but has a little different quality when it mixes with the other colors.  Needless to say I made at least 10 backgrounds by smooshing and smearing.  So much fun!!! I definitely recommend you try them if you get the chance.  I stamped the sea life creatures with memento inks and colored the frame with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.
Without further ado...

Saturday Color Challenge

Hi there!  I hope you're having a great weekend!  I have a Bugaboo Saturday Color Challenge project for you today!  I am getting geared for graduations so I used the opportunity to use blue school colors for this card and make someone's day. My dad used to always say, "We?  Is that a mouse in your pocket?' so I could not resist using a denim paper for this one.  It sorta made me giggle.  I hope you find a little humor in that too.

Teacher Appreciation

Hello!  I have a card todaay featuring the Unity Stamp Co.  I love the deep rubber stamps as they give a good impression every time.  I made this for my son's favorite teacher and one for my daughter to give to her professor if she wishes.  I'm only going to share one today as they are the same card with the exception one has reds and one has blues.   I didn't add any embellishment because I felt the stamp said it all.  I hope you like it!

The Beauty of God's Promise

Good evening!  I hope you're having a great weekend.  I have been busy making Easter Basket favors, and took a break to make a card.  This turned out to be a labor of love as I do not have the matching die for my beautiful Botanical Roses stamp set, but it turns out I never ordered it.  I turned on Alexa and listened to Air One radio while I fussy cut the flowers as it find it much more calming with music in the background.  I recently took a class that featured blue and green flowers so that was my inspiration for the day.  I started out stamping my images on vellum using versamark and then heat embossing them.  I then used distress inks on the flip side of the paper.  I was hoping that my cut n scan would pick up the images, but no such luck.  It was meant for me to fussy cut and listen to Christian music today.  This card truly soothed my soul.  After getting the flowers cut I shaped them with the basic shaping mold and a stylus.  I used a hot glue gun on a cool setting to layer my flowers.  I then used distressed stain spray to color some white card stock and die cut the leafy accents.  From there I pieced my card together until I was happy.
I hope you like my card... and give me a follow if you do please.
Have a great rest of the weekend!

Water Color Challenge

Hi there!  TGIF!  Aren't you glad it's Friday?  for me... I'm looking forward to a fish fry with my hubby and friends.  I sincerely look forward to this time of year not only to eat fish, but to celebrate my Saviors' Resurection and I can't think of anything better than to say thank you.  When my crafty friends chose water coloring as our challenge this month that's the first thing that popped in my head.  I used a Bugaboo stamp image for this card.  I had a hard time printing it out on water color paper as my printer kept jamming, but fortunately for me I was able to paint on regular card stock with a very dry brush with pretty good results.  I hope you like it.... it's Spring--y.

Kitty Angel

Hello!  I hope your Thursday is going well?  I have a project for Bugaboo, Oldie, but Goodie.  I chose Kitty Angels Love Heart image because my son's cat recently crossed over the rainbow bridge, and he's having a tough time.  I colored the image closely to resemble Colby, and then added a Word Doc created sentiment to make it more personal for my son.   I hate the circumstances, but I do think the card turned out cute and hope it cheers him up. If you would say a little prayer for my guy.  Thanks so much.

A Card in a Card

Hello there!  I hope you had a great weekend?  I know I could have used an extra day as my hubby worked all weekend. That hour we lost with daylight savings messed me up a little too.  How does one hour change everything?  Anyhow, I have a card in a card with a pop up surprise that I designed for my crafting group as it my turn to teach a tuturial this month.  I used a bunch of different companies to make one great card.

Basically I made an A2 card, then made another card base an inch shorter on each dimension for the inside.  On the inside card I created a rail that pops up with a few butterflies to make the card even more fun. As an added fun touch I embossed aluminum foil and then used magic lustre to do faux leafing on it.   If you want more info, please feel free to contact me.

Products used:  white/black/purple/teal card stock, Stampin Up Beautiful Butterfly dies, Sizzix You are Loved stamp set, Unity Stamp co Good Things With Wings stamp set, Steampunk Butterfly Background stamp (given to me without packaging) Magic Lustre brilliant turquoise, aluminum foil, Fun Stampers Journey black licorice ink, Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, Stickles purple/teal, white half backed pearls

Flower Market

Happy Thursday to you!  I am definitely yearning for spring and heading to farmers markets and flower stands.  This card brings me that same feeling.  I combined Heartfelt Creations Stamps with Art Impressions stamps to water color a few flowers.  I am still learning this technique and have a ways to go, but I did enjoy this one.  Any pointers?  I'm told I use too much water!  I took a class from Bonnie last year and if you ever have a chance to do that.... do it!!!

Good evening!  I have been creating a bit today and wanted to share a quick art deco inspired card today from the Hero Arts February 2019 Kit of the Month.  I love this kit because it had stamps that were nothing like I own and I love the intricate card front die and stencil included in the kit.  I am sure you will see more cards from me and this kit soon.  I am such a fan!  I have a swap where the theme is transportation themed so I chose the fancy car!  I hope you this one.   I must have! As I made eight of them!

St Patty's Teddy Bear

Hi Joy here with a cute St Patty's Day card for you today.  This is a new release for Bugaboo and I think it's adorable.  This happens to be my favorite holiday, not because I'm Irish.  Maybe because it's fun and there isn't a lot of stress building up to it.  But I love it and I love green.. and green beer! My background was made by smooshing Distress Oxides and layering color.  I love this technique because you never know what you're going to get, but you have fun doing it.
