Winter Queen

Hi there and welcome back to my crafty space!  I have been coloring quite a bit over the last few days as a way to be mindful and take care of "Me".  I am sharing a card today which stretched me a bit.  I have been fearful of coloring in gray scale which is why I have delayed coloring my Julia Spiri images, but I am so glad I finally took the plunge.  I never truly understood how the "gray" wouldn't effect the colors and was afraid it would show my errors more.  I actually think coloring this way gave me a lot more creative leeway and had so much fun.  I am very thankful for winning this image as a prize and for the Artist stretching me.  Without further ado...

Products used:  Ivory/ light pool/ cranberry card stock, The Paper Studio Old World Winter dsp,  Julia Spiri Winter Queen stamp, Teal Zeal Memento ink, Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink, Copic markers, white gel pen, Spectrum Noir artliner, Sizzix Dotted Circle die, Altenew Festive Poinsettia stamp set, ivory hemp twine

Something Special For You

Hello and welcome back to my crafty space!  I hope you all are recovering well from the hustle and bustle of the holidays.  I am spending my day coloring and relaxing.  But for some of you, you didn't quite get exactly what you wanted from Santa.  In case that is you, my card is to inspire you to go grab that something special for yourself today.  I was well prepared and put a few happy things under the tree for me, in case Santa got his wires crossed.  He in fact did...  I asked for more Copics and I got drinking glasses.  LOL!!!!  Anyways, I hope that made you laugh and this card inspires you.

Products used:  Sweet Sentiment white card, teal/ black card stock, Pink and Main Spring Color Pop dsp, Sweet Sentiment Dec 2019 class stamp set, Copics, white gel pen, and Spectrum Noir artliner, Memento ink Tuxedo Black/ Teal Zeal.

Needle Work Motiff Sympathy card

Hello and welcome back to my crafty space.  I have a quick card to share with you that I made in case I may need it someday.  This card is simple and elegant with the navy and gold color scheme.  I embossed the images after stamping with Versamark and applying Ranger gold embossing powder.  I added a few pops of color by first applying a white colored pencil and then the reds on top since I was coloring on dark card stock.  I think the card came together nicely and I made 3 additional cards exactly the same to add to my stash

Products used:  gold metallic/navy/cream card stock, Altenew Needlework Motif stamp set, Versamark ink, Ranger gold embossing powder, and Prsima Color pencils

Horsing Around

Current Challenge - Anything Goes
Hello and welcome back to my crafty space!  I have a guest design team project for ITD Creative Playground Challenges and have a special card to share with you.  My daughter loves horses so when I saw this image I knew I had to have it.  I colored, Christmas Horseshoe with Copic markers and cute it out with a Cut n Scan.  I mounted the image on a circle die popped  up on foam tape.  I added pine bough in the same olive green card that accents the plaid paper.  I added sheer ribbon that I colored with a dark blue marker to get the "right" color to accentuate the image and the poinsettias.  The sentiment was part of the digital stamp set, but I used barn door distress oxide to add a bit of color.  I am hoping my daughter and her hubby love the card as much as I do.  I'd love to know what you love about it too!

When you have a second please check out Imagine That Stamps and see what inspires your next project.   I found a couple steampunk images that I love, and I don't have any in my stash.  That will be my next purchase!!

Products used:  white/cranberry/olive card stock, Christmas Lodge dsp, Fun Stamper's Journey Pine and cone die set, Sizzix dotted circle die set, copic markers, wink of stella, sheer ribbon, Distress Oxide ink barn door, Little Birdie Poinsettias

Polar Bear Nights

Hi and welcome back to my crafty space.  Today kicks off a new challenge over at Pattie's Creations where the theme for the month is Bears.   I chose Pattieboops Holiday Polar Bear for my card as it is perfect for Christmas!  I printed the image twice, once on copy paper to use as a mask.  From there I blended distress oxides to create the perfect night sky, then I colored the image and foreground with copic markers.  I happen to love how the green and red scarf pop against the contrasting sky.   This card is a square 4.25 inch card so that it can fit inside a standard A2 envelope.  I did that so that it would not cost extra postage, like a square envelope does.

When you have a minute please stop by Pattie's Creations store to check out her other images.  She has some pretty cute images getting ready to retire, so snatch them up while you can!!

Pawsing For Christmas

Current Challenge - Anything Goes

Hello and welcome back to my crafty space!  Today I bring you a guest design team project for ITD Creative Playground Challenges where I got to create with the cutest dog ever, the Dachshund Christmas!  Omg!  You have to go grab it!! The set is so much fun as it comes with colored, uncolored images, and sentiments!  Wowser!!!   I colored this cutie with copics and add a little Wink of Stella to the Santa hat and the sweater to add a little extra.  What I love is that not only did I have a sentiment for the front of the card, but the inside sentiment is darling too!!!   Did I mention I love this set??    I didn't go over the top embellishing this card because truthfully I don't think that pup needed anything!  Just love him.

When you have a chance stop over at Imagine That Stamps and see what inspires you today!  I bought Marleen's Chocolate Bar the other night and you will be seeing a project with that real soon... after the holidays!  But seriously go check out the store!
