Buggy Christmas Memories

Hi there!  I hope you are enjoying the holiday season and are making new memories while remembering  traditions.  This card that I am sharing has a pretty funny memory or the story of a memory for me.  I remember always having a green VW bug ornament hanging on the tree with my birth year written on it.  My mom had a green bug that she loved dearly and drove it every year.  One year she decided to take a trip up North to visit my grandparents, leaving my dad behind to work.  As she was traveling through the mountains in the middle of a winter night the engine (in the rear back then), caught fire.  In the meantime as this beloved bug was smoking, I was in a car seat in the back!  We are all okay, and poor ole dad had to come rescue us, but that story has been told every Christmas since.  When I got this stamp, I knew right away she would be colored green.  I hope you could envision this story and cracked a smile.

As for the card, I water colored the image with Arteza real brush markers.  Without further ado...

Turkey Foliage

Hello there!  I hope this post finds  you well?  Today I am sharing one last Thanksgiving card with you!  I cannot believe we are a little over a month away from Christmas.  I feel like I should still be wearing flip flops, but the weather doesn't support that lol.  For this card I went to the free Crayola Coloring Pages and also used a gift bag from the Dollar Tree.  If you hang around my blog long enough you will find I spend a lot of time at THE TREE!  I just want to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

I am especially thankful for my family and friends who love me and support me in all things.  I am thankful for all of my pets.. don't ask me how many (you may be shocked), as they hold a special place in my heart.  I am thankful that God has allowed me to be a Witness for Him and hope that I wear him proud  in my actions.  and... I am thankful for my crafting and my crafty friends.

Philippians 4:6 - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God

Keepsake Birthday

Hello I hope you're having a great start to the week?  Today I am sharing a birthday card I made for my dad!  My dad has always held the key to my heart, as I am his favorite... that's a running joke between my brother and I.  My parents always said I was their favorite daughter and he was their favorite son.  Since it is only the two of us we often debate which is truly their favorite.  Truth be known, my Dad is my favorite dad!  We are celebrating his 70th birthday!  I made this fun drawer pull card because I remember him always having keepsakes in a desk drawer that looked similar to this.  He will get a kick out of it when he sees it.  And for the gift inside.. dinner to his favorite seafood joint.  Here it is...

Products used:  eggplant cs, metallic paisley cs, Burgundy brocade cs, beige ribbon, 3-D Papier Tole Vintage Hardware Foil Die cuts, Stamp on it Happy Birthday sticker, Spectrum Noir black alcohol marker

Crafty Saturday with a little company!

Wishing you all a good day!  It's a little unusual for me to get to craft and post on a Saturday, but the house is empty with exception of my furbabies.  I spent the morning ink blending, heat embossing, and die cutting.  I am only going to share one thing as to not bombard you with creations.  I love 3D projects, but find that they are expensive to mail, but yep I did one.  I am planning on hand delivering this one so the dimensions don't matter!  yay!  Also I had a little helper today, too!

Products used:  Stampin up Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set, Stampin up detailed poinsettia dies, Distress Oxide inks (lucky clover, cracked pistachio, evergreen bough, candied apple, aged mahagany, abandoned coral), versamark clear, recollections white embossing powder, white tulle ribbon, gold stickles, white cs, glossy white cs, red cs, and Stamp On it Merry Christmas sticker colored with Spectrum Noir  marker (orignally it was gold).

Jesus, The Reason For the Season

Hello! It's Joy back with a Design Team project over at Crafty Creations Challenges #378!  Today I am so happy to be using Bugaboo's Christmas Words- Jesus digital stamp,  For this project I printed the image out twice. The first time slightly larger and the second smaller, so that the image would stand out a bit more.  Speaking of standing out, I think a lot of times we forget the reason for Christmas, and I encourage you all to take out some time out from shopping, creating, and remember or share the reason.  I hope that you enjoy my card and look forward to seeing your challenge entries.  Without further ado..
