A Regal Christmas

Hello!  Happy Wednesday to you!  It may be Halloween today,  but here on my blog it's Christmas!  I do certainly wish everyone a Happy Haunting full of Ghosts and Goblins,  But, back to my Christmas makings... Today I share with you a non-traditional colored card with vellum poinsettias.  I do hope you enjoy it as, it provided me a challenge.  The challenge for me was the color.  I actually cut this die out months ago and had it laying on my desk waiting for inspiration to hit me.  For me the inspiration came from talking with my friend Barbara and her insisting I could make a Christmas card in something besides green and red.  Looking back on the evening I was very closed minded in my color thoughts.  I absolutely love the card and the challenges it posed for me.  Without further ado...

Products used:  Light purple cs, light grey cs, dark purple cs, Gold metallic cs, 29# White Vellum, Romancing the Swirl Becca Feeken A2 card creator die, Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia die set, Wow Gold glitter, Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink, White Pearl Strands, Stazon Black ink, Script Merry Christmas stamp,Spellbinders Wonky Diamonds embossing folder,  and Hero Arts Infinity Circle Dies

Birthday Boy Sailing

Hello and welcome to my little corner of the web!  Over the weekend I celebrated my son's birthday!  He wasn't mine until four years ago, but I couldn't love him more.  He is such a smart and funny kid, that has the heart the size of Texas!  I couldn't be more lucky than to have this guy in my life.  This card that I am sharing with you was his Birthday card.  Honestly, this is how I imagine my kiddo as a boy, except the image is missing a snake and a frog hanging from the pockets.  I do hope that you enjoy the card as much as I do.  If you like it, please follow me for more creative shenanigans.  Without further ado...

A little Kindness Goes a Long Way... Happy Day

Last week was full of hustle and bustle, but I did manage to do one amazing thing.  I accompanied my friend to her first day of chemo infusions and surprised her with a day of crafting, keeping her mind off cancer and medicines.  The night before I stayed up until 3am and cut the layers needed for 100 cards and embossed the cause ribbon on each card front.  The next day wte had 7 hours in front of us to either be scared and sad, or laugh and make cards.  Not only did we do that, but we prayed over each card and wrote a message in each one for unknown recipients.  I am including a blurred picture of my friend to protect her privacy, but you can still see that smile!   In addition to the cards we made together, I made a few depicting RAK cards. Please feel free to check out my cards and say a prayer for my friend.  Without further ado....
