Light of Bethlem

Good morning and welcome to my crafty space.  Today I am sharing my first real attempt to add a background to a stamped image.  I totally borrowed this from Sandy Allnock, because I watched the linked video and fell in love with the stamp and her project.  I will never claim to have talent, and desperately want to be a colorist so I watch a ton of her videos.  After watching Sandy's video and ordering Bethlehem's Light from the Colorado Stamp Co, I decided to give this a try and followed Sandy's video.  My final picture doesn't come close to my inspiration piece, but I will say I had so much fun coloring this image.  I actually made four of these to give to family members.   I'm very shy about sharing this because I don't like to post imperfect projects of my Lord and Savior, so I ask please be kind in your comments.   And Thank You to Sandy Allnock for sharing her art and teachings.

Products used:  white/navy/silver metallic card stock, copic markers, white gelly roll pen, Recollections white/silver embossing powder, and Colorado Craft Co Bethlehem's Light stamp set

  1. What a beautiful card Joy - I also love Sandy's work :) Remember the loaves and fishes, that God took what was offered and multiplied it - be encouraged that what talent you offer God will be multiplied to bring Him glory

  4. Joy, your card is beautiful. We are always our own worst critics and she can take inspiration from others, but should never compare ourselves with them. We are each made unique and wonderful!
Thank you for sharing with us over here at World Wide Open Design Team Challenge and best of luck with your entry.
