Classic Design Team Challenge: October

Hello and welcome back to the October Challenge at Classic Design Team Challenge, where our fabulous sponsor is Polkadoodles and our theme is "anything goes!"  My card today features the ever so beautiful Winnie, in the Gift of Christmas which is colored with Copic markers and detailed in a white gelly roll pen.  I added my favorite poinsettia die cuts to add an even more of a Christmas vibe.  The edges are inked with Rhubarb Stalk Memento ink and shaped using a stylus. I find that if you off set the layers as you stack them you make a beautiful flower.  Even though the die set came with berries to add to the center, I left them off and added gold stickles because I find it helps hold the 3D shape better.  I added a few white sprigs to add more texture and I was finished.   I love how this turned out and hope you do too?

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?  If so who was the first person you bought for?

Products used:  white/mulberry/olive/pool card stock, Martha Stewart Snowflake dsp, Spellbinders poinsettia die, Spellbinders Paisley blooms die, Copic markers, white Gelly Roll Pen, gold Stickles, and Polkadoodles Gift of Christmas Winnie Angel digital stamp

Anything But a Card- Candle Gift Set

Anything But a Card!

Hello and welcome back to my corner of the web.  Today I have project for Catch the Bug Challenge Blog where the design team is bringing you "Anything But A Card".  I am featuring one stamp from the collection called, Snowman Set 02 and I think he is adorable.  I got the idea from The Posh Paper Lady who is very talented and makes beautiful things, but simplifies the process for folks like you and me.   I love her!

My image was colored with copic markers and the box was constructed from one 12x12 scrapbook paper and a piece of acetate.  I actually just short of half a sheet left, so you really could get two projects out of piece of paper.  I hope you take the chance to check out her video and then take a look at the sales over Bugaboo Stamps.  Without further ado...

Freebie Friday! Thanks to the Teacher

Good morning!  I hope you're all doing well today!  I have design team project to share with for Catch the Bug Challenge Blog where we are featuring Bugaboo Stamp's Freebie Friday stamp!  Deacon is one of my favorites and I think this cute stamp is perfect for a Teacher's card, or for desk name tags.  I'll let you decide.  But first... you better go get yours!

I colored my blackboard splotchy to make it look more realistic.  My sentiment is generated from a Word doc font and then foiled using holographic foil.  I then, thought it would look cool to add a white gel pen over it to give it a chalky, but shiny look. It's a different look, but it turned out okay.  I hope you like it!

Products used?  white/charcoal card stock, Paper studios notebook themed scrapbook paper, Copic markers, Stickles, Wink of Stella, Distress Oxide Inks, Andy Skinner Alphabet Spaghetti stencil, and Heidi Swap holographic foil, white gelly roll pen, and Deacon School Sign It 3 stamp

Thinking of you Sunflower

Good afternoon!  TGIF! Aren't you glad for short weeks?  I know I am.  Today I am sharing a card designed for Pattie's Creation Design Challenge where the challenge this month is "anything that flies."  I colored my image, Thinking of You with copic markers and then added distress oxide ink to make the sky background.  What I love about this stamp is that it is simply beautiful and comes with a pre-printed sentiment that you don't have to manipulate to make it "perfect" for the image.  Everything comes already done for you!!!  Bonus!!!   Pattie offers a free image on her blog each month, so I encourage to grab one and checkout what the other designers are inspiring you with.  Most of all take a quick minute over at Pattie's shop as she has added some really cute new images.

What is your favorite fall flower?
